John Eugene Nicpon

John Eugene Nicpon, age 92, of Mount Pleasant, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha on November 13^th, 2024. He was born on August 16^th, 1932, to the late John C. Nicpon and Genevieve (Smietana) Nicpon in Illinois. At age 17, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served overseas in the Korean War for several years before being honorably discharged. He was an assistant chief engineer at Appleton / Emerson Electric in Chicago for many years and retired in 1999. He was married to his beloved wife Arlene for over 60 years until the time of her death.

He is survived by his children: David (Lisa) Nicpon and John P. Nicpon, grandchildren: David James Nicpon (D.J.), Zachary Nicpon, Megan Gabourel (Amin Castellanos Gabourel), a sister Sandra Doyle (Dan), brother-in-law Art Kotlewski and his dog Foxie. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Arlene, brothers: Robert Nicpon and Eddie Nicpon, and a daughter Renee Dion Nicpon.
