John David Picolo, age 80, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, on June 8th, 2024. He was born on August 14th, 1943, in Ohio to the late Frank Picolo, and Rose (House). On July 17th, 1976, he married Linda (Gordon) in Zion, IL, and stayed faithfully married until her death two weeks before his. He enlisted in the U.S. Army where he was a wrecker driver while stationed in Germany and served from November, 1962 to October 1964. He worked at Snap – On tools in Kenosha for many years, but later retired from Midwestern Regional Medical Center in 2001.
John loved playing many sports but namely basketball during his younger years. He was also in a bowling league for many years where he met his future wife, Linda. Family time was most important to John. He was most at peace laughing and playing games with his family playing uno, cribbage, poker, and apples to apples to name a few. In addition to family game night, he loved watching movies and eating popcorn with his family as well.
He is survived by his daughters: Heather Picolo and Natasha Robbins, grandchildren: Ryne Hultenius, Logan Robinson, and Duncan Robinson, great grandchildren: Ryder, siblings: Robert Picolo Sr., and Connie Picolo, as well as many living relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda, son in law: Jimbo Robinson, siblings: Chuck, Mary Louise, Josephine, Delores, Lill, sister-in-law: Mary, and niece: Becky.
