Ronald K. Becker

Ronald K. Becker, a resident of Kenosha, passed away at home on May 10th 2024. He was 85 years old.

Ronald was born in Kenosha to loving parents Reinhold and Evelyn (Sommers) Becker and educated in Kenosha schools. At age 19 he joined the US Army and served faithfully and dutifully for 3 years. He was stationed in Germany, and while there was able to connect with and meet his grandmother for the first time.

After leaving the Army, he met and married his wonderful wife Jean Hughes in Kenosha. Together they were blessed with 4 children – David, Michael, Daniel, and Christine. At the time of his death, Ronald and Jean were married for 60 long and happy years.

Ronald was employed in Kenosha for several years at Anaconda American Brass and as a Shaklee supervisor before ultimately becoming a Maintenance Technician for KUSD. He worked hard for 20 years to keep our schools in working order and provide our students with a safe environment to learn.

In his free time Ronald loved golf, painting, and gardening but his true love was always fishing. Ronald looked forward to his trips to Lake Noquebay in Crivitz, a tradition he kept since he was 9 years old. Ronald especially loved bringing his 3 boys to fish together for Croppie and Bluegill.

Ronald is survived by his wife Jean (Hughes) Becker, his sons David Becker (Kenosha), Michael Becker (Portage), and Daniel (Jodi) Becker (Kenosha), his daughter Christine Becker and grandchildren Anthony, Arielle, Alexandria, Aaron, Caden, Haley, and Carter, as well as Great-Grandchildren Sariyah and Brodie. Ronald is also survived by his sister Sherry (Glen) Gosselin, and niece and nephew Dana and Christopher.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a Great-Grandson Jeremiah Poe.

Ronald was a great man and will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Ronald’s Aurora At-Home Hospice care team – Wendy, Holly, and Lynn, for their compassionate and dedicated care during Ronald’s final days. He loved Jesus with all his heart, and we will all be together again in our forever home soon.

Ronald will be interred at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery. The ceremony will be private.
