Ronald “Ron” Suidikas

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ronald “Ron” Suidikas, 65, on January 12th, 2024, with his family by his side. Born on January 31st, 1958, to Charles and Janet Suidikas of Waukegan IL.

Ron was a dedicated man who believed in hard work and providing for his loved ones. He acquired his education in Illinois and participated in ROTC in high school. Ron began working when he was only 13 and continued to do so throughout his life. He retired as a quality assurance engineer from Intech in October of 2023 due to illness.

Throughout his life Ron held a profound passion for motorcycles. Starting at a very young age he participated in motocross racing, and in adulthood won numerous building competitions, was published in magazines, and even spent the winter months rebuilding Harley’s in the family living room. As a charter member of Kenosha H.O.G chapter he enjoyed engaging in rides, poker runs, and various events with the group. He loved trips to Sturgis and participating in the mountain man rendezvous with his close friend Mike Elam. Additionally, Ron cherished breakfast and rides with his lifelong friend Norman Pratt and close friend Cyndi Aull.

On February 14th, 1985, Ron embarked on the ultimate adventure when he married the love of his life Cindy. Despite his intimidating appearance, those fortunate enough to have known him understood that he possessed intelligence, a strong work ethic, a sense of humor and an unwavering capacity to love. To his family he was affectionately known as their “giant teddy bear.”

Ron is survived by his beloved wife Cindy, their children; Jamey Suidikas, (Rick Applegate), Cyndel (David) Sorenson, and Jared Suidikas. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren; Jasmine, Nicole, Dylan, Gabriel, Nicholas, Jadin, Arianna, Justyn, and Freya, as well as 4 great grandchildren, his sister Kym Harris, nephew Michael, niece Amanda, aunts, uncles, and cousins also mourn his loss. Norman (Julie) Pratt, his lifelong best friend and the countless friends, coworkers, and fellow biker brothers and sisters he encountered throughout his journey will forever cherish his memory.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Janet.

The family will hold a celebration of life service for Ron at a later date to allow time for grieving and to ensure better weather for his motorcycle community. Please continue to check back to the funeral homes website for future updates.

Although we can no longer see or feel Ron’s presence, every time we hear the distant thunder, we will find solace in knowing that he is happy, leading the pack.
