Eugene Paul Johnson

Eugene Paul Johnson went home to the Lord on May 20^th, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born the son of Edwin and Grace Johnson in Waukegan IL. He was the 2^nd oldest of 4 children.

On July 14^th, 1961, Eugene married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Iva Nell Powell. Together they shared almost 62 wonderful years together before Iva went to be with the Lord ahead of him on June 17^th, 2021.

  He worked construction for Camosy, American Air Filter, and Midlane Golf Course, and did maintenance at a church.

  Eugene enjoyed golf, watching the Blackhawks, working in his yard, and going to church. He especially enjoyed the holidays with his family, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren who he loved dearly.

  He was a proud grandfather to Justin, Jason. Adam, and Madison, great grandfather to Brandon, Will, Mackenzie, Cammy, and Connor.

  Eugene was truly loved and will be greatly missed by his 3 children, Kevin (Theresa) of Beach Park IL, Jenelle of Zion IL, and Phillip (Nici) of Burlington WI. His 4 grandchildren and his 5 great grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Virgina “Ginger” Johnson of Kenosha WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and 2 brothers, Roger Johnson, and Ron Johnson.

  Eugene’s family will be holding a private celebration of life service at a later date.
